Daily Highlights

Day 1 – Arrival in Sri Lanka & Stay in Negombo

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Negombo, approximately a 30-minute drive away.

After checking in, spend the remainder of the day at leisure, relaxing by the beach or unwinding beside the pool.

In the evening, enjoy a meal at the hotel or savour delicious local cuisine within walking distance, where you’ll find a variety of bars, restaurants, and cafés to explore.

Day 2 – Negombo city tour & Safari in Wilpattu

After breakfast, enjoy a short orientation tour of Negombo town before setting off for an afternoon game drive at Wilpattu National Park, renowned for its leopards, elephants, abundant birdlife, and other rare wildlife.

Later in the day, relax at leisure.

Day 3 – Anuradhapura city & Travel to Sigiriya/Habarana

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before exploring the ancient city of Anuradhapura. Discover its impressive ruins, sacred stupas, and the revered Sri Maha Bodhi — one of the oldest historically documented trees in the world.

Later, journey east to the historic town of Sigiriya. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and unwind, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere in the heart of the Sri Lanka Cultural Triangle.

Day 4 – Sigiriya Rock & Polonnaruwa

Begin your day early with a climb to the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, ascending in the cool morning hours and rewarded at the summit with breathtaking panoramic views.

Later, travel to Polonnaruwa to explore its well-preserved ancient ruins with your guide, including impressive temples, statues, and royal complexes that reflect the grandeur of Sri Lanka’s medieval capital.

Day 5 – Wildlife Safari in the North Central Plains

Day 7 – Exploring Dambulla’s Caves & Kandy’s Sacred Heritage

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before visiting the magnificent Dambulla Cave Temple, renowned for its golden Buddha statues and beautifully preserved ancient murals.

Thereafter, drive to Kandy (approximately 2.5–3 hours), stopping en route at a spice garden to learn about Sri Lanka’s famous spices and their traditional uses.

In the evening, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth and witness a traditional pooja ceremony, an evocative spiritual experience accompanied by rhythmic drumming and devotional rituals. Afterwards, take a leisurely stroll around the scenic Kandy Lake.

Day 8 - Royal Gardens & Precious Gems

After breakfast, visit the beautiful Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, home to a stunning collection of tropical flora and landscaped grounds. Day 9 – Tea Country Escape

After breakfast, journey through Sri Lanka’s scenic tea country, passing lush green plantations along the way.

Day 10 – Ella & Udawalawe

Explore the area’s rich legends, said to have been once roamed by the iconic King Ravana, and visit the Nine Arch Bridge and Ravana Falls before continuing to the Udawalawe area for an overnight stay.

Day 11 – Udawalawe National Park and Yala/Tissa

Start the day with an early morning visit to Udawalawe National Park, witnessing elephants, water buffalo, and a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat, then continue your journey to the Yala/Tissa area, enjoying the scenic landscapes along the way, and settle in there for an overnight stay.

Day 12 – Yala Safari and Beach Stay

Embark on a guided game drive at sunrise in Yala National Park, renowned for having the highest leopard density in Asia, where you may also spot elephants, crocodiles, sloth bears, and a variety of bird species.

After the safari, continue to the southern coastal area for a relaxed evening by the pool or beach, with an overnight stay in the down south region.

Day 13 – Relaxing Beach Escape in Southern Sri Lanka

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and take the day at a slow pace, soaking in Sri Lanka’s southern hospitality and the relaxed beach vibe.
